Who Are We ?
Mums 4 Refugees are mums, women and carers from diverse backgrounds (political beliefs and religious beliefs, heritage, life experience, etc) seeking change for better policies for people seeking asylum and refugees. We raise awareness about the causes of poverty and injustice in the asylum seeker community, and the need for human rights to be respected and advanced.
where are we based?
We are a nation-wide organisation, with chapters in both urban and regional Australia, who work within our own communities and together as a national team. M4R began in 2015 when like-minded women kept meeting each other at refugee rallies around the country, and decided to unite to spread the word about the appalling way our government treats people seeking asylum and refugees.
