Mums4Refugees NSW Inc is the incorporated branch of Mums4Refugees Australia-New Zealand, with 2,081 active members in our network. With the need to assist asylum seeker and refugee families in the community only increasing due to the inflexible and punitive policies put in place by the government, M4R NSW has become a DGR-registered charity in order to be able to raise funds to support families, women and children who struggle without government support or find themselves in precarious visa situations.

For example, did you know that people exiting the Status Resolution Support Service payment (89% of the old JobSeeker payment), people on Bridging Visa E, which are 3 to 6 months temporary visas, those on Final Departure Visas, and unlawful non-citizens are not eligible for any Centrelink benefits or Medicare? Those who do have work rights attached to their visas cannot secure employment easily due to visa limitations and employer prejudice. With the arrival of the pandemic, this has resulted in many refugees becoming homeless, or struggling to feed their children.

Our current fundraising campaign seeks to assist refugees in desperate need - you can donate here.
