“There’s a saying that when you become a mother, you become a mother to all children.”

Our goal is to dismantle Australia’s inhumane processing barriers and restrictive policy frameworks to bring about a fairer, humane and more inclusive and equal society, where the strengths and benefits/contributions of People Seeking Asylum and Refugees are valued, and where they are safe and thriving.

M4R works towards these goals by focusing on three main activities:

1. Highlighting the systematic injustice that people seeking asylum and refugees face in Australia through public awareness campaigns that humanise refugee experiences.

2. Challenge unjust laws, processes and structures and instead create humane alternatives through activism, advocacy and policy work.

3. Supporting asylum seekers and refugees on the ground including emergency aid and referrals.
